The Georgia My Voter Page, called MVP, is the direct route for a Pooler voter registration check. It authenticates one voter rather than opening the whole roll for browsing. Enter the details as they appear on the registration, choose Chatham County, complete the CAPTCHA, and submit. If a recent move placed the voter outside Chatham, use the county tied to the updated record. The first initial is enough for the given-name field, but the surname and birth date must match state data.

A no-match result is not proof that someone is unregistered. Check spelling, birth date, and county, then call the registrar if the result still fails. MVP returns information on file, election-day and early polling locations, districts and elected officials, a sample ballot, absentee status, and provisional status. It does not let one person browse every Pooler name.

The result serves current election needs. Status shows whether the record is active, while polling and district data connect the residence to the right ballot. Absentee and provisional fields track those processes. A sample ballot shows which offices and questions apply, not how the voter voted. Save the lookup date because locations, districts, and status can change.

Georgia does not enroll voters by political party. Last Party Voted records the party ballot selected in a prior primary, if applicable. It never identifies choices within that ballot. It is participation history, not a statement of permanent affiliation or belief.

Chatham Keeps Pooler Voter Records

Chatham County Voter Registration maintains the local elector file, registers voters, processes changes, and shares voter information. The office is at 1117 Eisenhower Drive, Suite E, Savannah, with mailing address PO Box 13757, Savannah, GA 31416. Regular hours are Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Election Day hours are 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Call 912-790-1520 or 912-790-1519 when MVP cannot resolve a record.

The county reported 233,741 registered voters on April 23, 2026. That is a dated Chatham total, not a Pooler total. The registrar updates the file daily, so an older count or export can differ from the live system. The office also maintains master elector lists, mails absentee ballots, verifies petitions, and sends notice when precinct or reapportionment changes affect voters.

Fields in Georgia Voter Records

The public layout contains 55 fields. It starts with county, voter registration number, status and status reason, then gives name parts and birth year. Residence components include street number, directions, street name and type, unit, city, and ZIP code. Precinct and district columns map the voter to congressional, state legislative, judicial, county commission, school board, city council, municipal school board, water board, fire district, and other local divisions.

Race and gender are fields in the state layout. Registration Date concerns registration timing, Voter Created Date marks database creation, Last Modified Date records an update, and Date of Last Contact supports maintenance. District changes can follow reapportionment even without a move. A mailing address may differ from the voting residence.

Pooler Voter Status Changes

An active record generally reflects voter contact within five years through voting, an absentee request, a petition, or an address update. An inactive voter may still vote. Confirmation notices, National Change of Address information, and a process spanning two federal election cycles can lead to cancellation. Contact or an update can restore active status when the voter remains eligible.

These processes explain Status Reason, Last Modified Date, and Date of Last Contact. Chatham also processes deceased and felony-related maintenance. A stale export should not override a current MVP and registrar check.

Safe at Home Shields Addresses

Georgia's Safe at Home program began July 1, 2026 under O.C.G.A. §50-18-150. It provides a substitute address for most state and local public records, forwards mail, and seals an enrolled voter's actual residence while preserving assignment to the correct precinct. Eligible people include survivors of domestic or dating violence, sexual assault, human trafficking, stalking, and qualifying safety risks.

Enrollment requires a sworn statement through a certified Advocate Assistant. The program can be reached at 470-312-2766. Its protection shows why a public voter roll is not the same as the agency's complete internal database.

Order Pooler's Georgia Voter File

Any member of the public may use the Secretary of State voter-list ordering process; eligibility is not limited to campaigns. A Pooler municipal list costs $65, a Chatham County list costs $70, and up to five municipal precincts cost $35. Municipal districts cost $45. Choose active voters only or active and inactive voters. County district, legislative, judicial, and statewide products have separate prices.

1. Choose the list type and area. For the city product, specify Pooler and Chatham County.
2. Give the purchaser name, street billing address, email, contact person, and phone. The form says not to use a post office box for billing.
3. Select the status scope, district or precinct option, and sign beneath the statutory warning.
4. Pay online by debit or credit card, or mail the form with a check or money order to the Secretary of State Elections Division.

County and municipal files arrive as CSV by email, usually in about two weeks. The statewide file uses a text/import format. The state offers no custom order, refund, or expedited service, and a returned check incurs a $40 charge. Lawful Use of Pooler Voter Rolls

Georgia prints its use warning just above the purchaser's signature. Commercial use of a voter list is a misdemeanor under O.C.G.A. §21-2-601. Georgia separately prohibits stalking under O.C.G.A. §16-5-90 and harassing communications under §16-11-39.1.

Trace Pooler's Earlier Voters

Current voter files are weak evidence for Pooler's early civic history. The city was incorporated in 1907, while Chatham County's record tradition reaches much farther back. Exact historical poll-book and registration-register years were not verified, so ask the Chatham registrar or Georgia Archives about a named election and date instead of assuming continuous online coverage.

Precinct totals also need a date label. Pooler-area precincts in the official 2023 statement of votes cast included First Baptist Church of Pooler, Rothwell Baptist Church, West Chatham Baptist Church, and the Pooler Recreation Center Gym. Their registered totals were election snapshots. Annexation, redistricting, and precinct changes make it unsound to add them into a present city count.

Pooler's city history describes Mrs. Gary Goggins as an early Georgia woman voter and the city's only woman alderman in the early 1900s. The specific election or minute citation still needs archive confirmation, so the story is a research lead rather than a proven voter-roll entry.
